1. Pedophilia is not a vague concept and doesn't vary from situation to situation. It's embedded in law. And in the US the minimum age of consent is 16. Almost 16 is not 16. Almost 16 and 25 is 9 year difference. Law has a purpose and according to law this kind of relationship is not legal.
2. Someone isn't considered a pedophile when they have a tendency of going for minors, one such act is completely enough. Just like you are not a murderer only when you have a tendency or preoccupation to kill. You kill once and you become a murderer.
3. I truly believe Paul didn't mean Alana is a pedophile and he really truly did his best to show that this is pure love. And here lies the problem. Whatever he showed is illegal and wrong and trying to justify it is worse.
However, always cool to engage in discussions. If you have other points or think you can justify your position on why this film is good with logic and reason, I'll be happy to hear.
