Ben is Back or Lucas Hedges on a path to glory

This guy has played in more award worthy films until adulthood than Matthew McConaughey in decades. Lucas can choose movies! And that’s alone — a lot for such a young actor. He’s on a great path and the nuances of his acting talent are being sharpened by day.

Ben is Back is a good movie. Not great. But good. Watchable.
The acting-directing-screenplay combo is mastered well enough to discard the fact that this also seems like a Julia Roberts revival.

Overall there’s very little to say about this one. It’s not bad. Not great.
