If Beale Street Could Talk by Barry Jenkins

If Beale Stre.. Fuck it. It’s too long.

Ok listen up. This movie doesn’t make any sense. I cannot justify it’s existence by anything. Moonlight from Barry Jenkins at least had great cinematography and was overall watchable. If Beale.. is boring, acting lacks edge, screenplay is pseudo-written, cinematography is mediocre. Is this a romance? Or a detective? Crime? #blacklivesmatter? #oscarssowhite? What is it?

It’s a shame such mediocre movies get THAT amount of praise :(
