Toy Story 4 by Pixar & Disney
Toy Story 4 or how to make a kick-ass animated film
Aaaaaaaaaaah damn it. I legit cried during some scenes.
A couple of years ago I came up with this mathematically correct algorithm on spotting fantastic films from just okay films. It’s like this superpower. I inadvertently cry when a movie is supreme. And it doesn’t matter if a movie is a drama, horror, blockbuster or animation. I cried during MadMax: Fury Road, Friends, Zootopia and others.
Toy Story franchise has been present for already quarter of a century. The first film was released on 1995. It’s as old as me. And it’s one of the very few ones that gets better film by film. 2nd was better than the 1st. 3rd was better than 2nd and 4th was better than all of them. This being said, the first one is a fantastic film. So you do the math.
I’m seriously blown away on how fantastic the writing for the 4th movie was. There’s all I love about films and character development. There’s a redeemable villain, the inner fight of principles, friendship and love as I perceive them.
Go see it.
