wow.. probably the first, logically explained view that contradicts my own 👏👏👏 thx a lot for sharing! I think you have a case in that Gary is the pursuer and she indeed keeps him at arms length for the majority of the movie. I just think that however their relation may be justified it is still a justification for an adult dating a minor and i know that happens so much in real life but if we keep portraying this in movies it will become more and more “normal” as media forms public opinion and i really don’t want kids who see it start to think that it’s ok. Separate cases of course happen when it may be justified like one in a million but if that’s portrayed in film and is in the mass media then it becomes normal.. But i get your point and the sean penn/bradley cooper part was horrible as well 😭 thx for sharing ❤️
